Finding the perfect vehicle comes down to recognizing what you need in your next ride and then choosing the model that delivers. That’s a lot easier to do when you shop from an extensive selection, which is exactly what you find with the Chevy lineup. As your Chevy dealer near Port Huron, you’d expect us to say something like that, but you don’t have to take our word for it, as the evidence is pretty clear.

Once you start looking at the different models Chevy offers, it’s easy to see they have something for just about every need. No matter what you’re looking for—from a small crossover for the daily commute to a spacious SUV for a growing family to powerful trucks for getting the job done—Chevy has you covered. So, let’s take a look at some of the best models for getting around Port Huron…

The Chevy Trax: Small and Sophisticated

Kicking things off, we have the Chevy Trax, which is the perfect choice if you need something small for getting around Port Huron or for a longer daily commute. The Trax has been redesigned and fully updated for the 2024 model year, launching an all-new generation that has grown in size, though it remains a subcompact SUV. Powered by a 1.3L Turbo engine, the Trax is fun to drive but still incredibly efficient, so you can enjoy your time on the road while making fewer stops for gas.

Inside, you’ll find an 8.0-inch infotainment display; an 11.0-inch screen is available, along with an 8.0-inch Driver Information Center screen. The increase in size—being nearly a foot longer than in previous years—gives you more room for passengers and cargo. Every Trax model also comes with Chevy Safety Assist standard, which includes a Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and much more. This all comes together to make this a fantastic choice whether you’re on your own each day or looking for something for a small family.

The Chevy Trailblazer: Sporty and Fun to Drive

If you’re looking for something similar in size to the Trax, but that model isn’t quite right for you, then take a good look at the Chevy Trailblazer. Although the Trailblazer hasn’t been redesigned for 2024, this is still a fantastic subcompact SUV with a ton to offer inside and out, starting with two engines for you to choose from. There’s a standard 1.2L Turbo, with a 1.3L Turbo available if you want something with a bit more oomph; both offer impressive fuel economy, and you can get all-wheel drive (AWD) with the available engine to boost traction and performance.

AWD is perfect for winter driving in Port Huron when you need a little extra grip for dealing with snow and slush. You get a few updates for this model year: an 11.0-inch infotainment display is now standard inside every Trailblazer, along with an 8.0-inch Driver Information Center, and there are different front fascia and grille designs on different trims.

The Chevy Equinox: A Perfect Daily Driver

The Chevy Equinox has been a favorite among many drivers for years now; one good look at it is all it takes to understand why. If you’re interested in a slightly larger option for getting around Port Huron without going up to a midsize model, then the Equinox is a great one to check out; this is a compact SUV with two rows of seating for up to five passengers.

You get a 1.5L turbocharged engine in the Equinox that comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission; AWD is available here, too, which is our preferred choice. Beyond the starting trim, heated front seats are standard in all other models, with heated rear seats available on the Premier trim, plus a heated steering wheel is available—perfect for getting going on a cold winter morning. Like the other models we’re looking at today, the Chevy Safety Assist suite of advanced driver assistance technologies is standard on the Equinox.

The Chevy Blazer: Midsize Design, Big Features

When looking at the Chevy lineup, the Blazer might have the fewest updates for the 2024 model year, but considering how fantastic it already is, that’s just fine with us. Here, you have two engines available: a standard 2.0L Turbo with 228 hp or an available 3.6L V6 with 308 hp. That’s fantastic power for a midsize SUV like this, and either engine comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, providing you with a smooth and responsive driving experience.

A 10.2-inch infotainment display is standard in every model, with added features like a wireless phone charger and heated steering wheel available. For 2024, heated front seats are now standard on all Blazer models; plus, you get 30 cu.ft. of rear cargo space and more than 64 cu.ft. of total cargo volume inside the Blazer.

The Chevy Traverse: More Seating for Growing Families

Without going up to the full-size models like the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the Chevy Traverse is the perfect choice if you need a spacious SUV for a growing family. This is similar in size to the Blazer, but what sets the Traverse apart is that it features a third row of seats in the back, giving you room for up to eight passengers to pile in and then hit the road together. Much like the Trax, the Traverse is also getting a redesign for the 2024 model to make it better than ever, starting with a new 2.5L engine that delivers 315 hp for a fantastic driving experience.

One of our favorite things about the 2024 Traverse is the new Z71 trim, which gives you tremendous off-road capability for an SUV like this. The Z71 features more than one inch of ground clearance compared to other Traverse models, with all-terrain tires, a unique front fascia for a better approach angle, twin-clutch AWD for aggressive traction and grip out on the trail (or on snowy streets), and skid-plate protection for the underside. Combine that with the new 17.7-inch infotainment display and 11.0-inch Driver Information Center that are both standard on every new Traverse, and you’ve got something special.

The Chevy Silverado 1500: Legendary Power and Capability

If you need a truck for getting around Port Huron, then you can’t beat the Chevy Silverado 1500 and everything it offers. This is one of the most popular and impressive full-size trucks on the road, with four engines that you can choose from, including the remarkable 310-hp 2.7L TurboMax engine that comes standard and the available 6.2L V8 with 420 hp. You can even get a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, as the Silverado 1500 is one of the few full-size trucks still offering diesel power.

Whether you’re looking to take advantage of up to 2,260 lbs of payload or more than 13,000 lbs of maximum towing capacity, the Silverado 1500 is up to the task. From hauling a boat to the lake on the weekend to getting building materials to a job site, the Silverado 1500 is built to handle everything you need.

The Perfect Vehicle Is Closer Than You Think

As you can see, the Chevy lineup has an incredible array of vehicles for you to choose from, with features and performance that are perfect for getting around Port Huron. What’s incredible, however, is that we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s available: we didn’t even go into the details of Chevy’s two full-size SUVs, the midsize Colorado pickup, or tremendous cars like the Malibu and the legendary Chevy Corvette.

The point is that, no matter what you need in your next vehicle, Chevy has you covered with a car, truck, or SUV designed to meet your needs and keep going strong for many years to come. All you have to do now is decide on what you’re looking for in your next vehicle and then let us help you find the perfect model.
